First Appointment

Students should bring both drafts of their first paper along with the instructor's and peer editing commentse. The tutorials should go over strategies for revision. The first paper was on 'movies and youth culture,' so each student picked a movie s/he knew well and took a particular perspective on the constellations of issues/ideas discussed in class and read about on that topic. From there, the idea is students would approach their particular film with these issues in mind and make a claim about how those issues work/matter in that context.
